Andersen 200 series tilt wash balancers are located on the sides of both the upper and lower window sash. We recommend that you replace both balancers along with the window side jamb liners. The andersen 200 series perma shield narroline window balancer is located above the upper sash head jamb liner. Match your windows lower sash visible glass size width height to the chart works with perma shield narroline double hung windows manufactured from 1968 to present. You need to know the visible glass size width and height of the lower sash to identify the balancer number. If you have andersen double hung narroline windows that were manufactured between 1968 and 2012 that will not open or stay open then the sash balances may be broken and need to be replaced.

Sash balancers are metal boxes that contain a nylon cord under tension. A balancer or window counter balance maintains the position of your window sash. Each window has two balancers i recommend replacing both even if only one is broken. Used with 2056 even 2452 2842 2846 30310 3432 and 38210 units with non tempered glass.
